WHAT IS CBD?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is the second most prevalent active ingredient in cannabis (marijuana). While CBD is an essential component of medical marijuana, it is derived directly from the hemp plant, a cousin of marijuana, or manufactured in a laboratory. One of hundreds of components in marijuana, CBD does not cause a “high” by itself.

At Gameday CBD, we only use THC Free cbd derived from hemp plants that are grown and harvested under our control to ensure only pure natural CBD Oils are used in our products.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The endocannabinoid system is a complex biological system in the human body. Medical researchers discovered it in the 1990s, finding it impacts several major body processes.

The endocannabinoid system has three components: receptors, enzymes, and endocannabinoids.

There are two types of receptors: CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are primarily in the central nervous system and are responsible for governing coordination, movement, pain, appetite, memory, mood, and other functions. The CB2 receptors are in the peripheral nervous system, influencing pain, and inflammation.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is CBD Legal?

CBD is readily obtainable in most parts of the United States, though its exact legal status has been in flux. All 50 states have laws legalizing CBD with varying degrees of restriction. In 2018, the Farm Bill made hemp legal in the United States, making it virtually impossible to keep CBD illegal – that would be like making oranges legal, but keeping orange juice illegal.

The Farm Bill removed all hemp-derived products, including CBD, from the Controlled Substances Act, which criminalizes the possession of drugs. In essence, this means that CBD is legal if it comes from hemp, but not if it comes from cannabis (marijuana) – even though it is the exact same molecule. Currently, many people obtain CBD online without a medical marijuana license, which is legal in most states.

Is CBD Safe?

We advise you consult your physician about the safety of CBD products.

Can CBD Make Me High?

CBD is not psychoactive — meaning that CBD wont make you high even in very large doses.

Will CBD Make Me Fail A Drug Test?

No. Drug tests searching for marijuana look for traces of THC (technically they look for a THC metabolite, THC-COOH).

Our CBD contains zero THC and is completely non-psychoactive and legal. Therefore, it’s unlikely that a drug test will search for CBD content becuse there’s no reason to look for this compound since it’s not illegal.
